Two graded stakes for July 4th weekend.
First: Eclipse champion
INFORMED DECISION
won the 7 furlongs grade 3
Chicago Handicap
carrying 7 pounds high-weight
on a tiring slow track (TV=17) and
easily toying with the competition
according to jockey Julien Leparoux.
The grey 5 year old filly
is by Monarchos out of Palangana,
trained by Hal of Famer Jonathan Sheppard,
and owned by George Strawbridge's
powerhouse Augustin Stable.
She was an EQB auction purchase
as a 2 year old at Fasig-Tipton's
Mid-Atlantic sale atTimonium, MD.

(bred by stallion Read The Footnotes)
wired the Grade 3 Bed O' Roses Stakes
at Belmont Park in Independence Day
firecracker fashion.

Fasig-Tipton two-year-olds auction
bested the favorite as she cut fractions of
22.21, 44.9, 1:09.22, 1:22.44 !!
